About the company: Young Turtle is a technology-driven, multi-strategy quantitative trading firm, trading in financial markets. We’re a math and technology company. We’re scientists and engineers working as a team to solve difficult problems in the dynamic world of finance. Our team constantly works towards the research and development of quantitative trading algorithms by adhering to mathematical and statistical models. We run quant models on two-sided market research, on a broad range of listed Indian and global financial instruments: equities, futures, options, currencies, and commodities. At Young Turtle, we seek to continuously find out inefficiency in the market through a statistical edge. We’re seeking mathematicians, software engineers, and academics to help us seek connections in financial data. About the internship/job: Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Assist in quantitative research on relative stock and commodity markets 2. Work on relevant market data collection, updation, and organization 3. Prepare proprietary stock & commodity market database for technical research 4. Read research papers and extract relevant findings for further research and strategy development 5. Work in a lab environment designed to prototype and market-test new concepts in various stock & commodity markets 6. Work on multi-asset class exposure with quantitative modeling, strategy back-tests, portfolio analytics, optimization, and simulation 7. Assist in the development of systematic trading strategies based on statistical models 8. Interpret and analyze large amounts of data using exploratory mathematical and statistical techniques Who can apply: Only those students or freshers can apply who:
