Wood Mackenzie Creative is a global multi-discipline design team focused on delivering a premium, recognized and trusted brand, through all our visual assets, from digital to print. Working with teams worldwide, the Creative team is a partner helping drive revenue generation through our regional marketing campaigns, e-commerce, ABM and events portfolio.
Role Description
Wood Mackenzie has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Designer to join a fast-paced, dynamic, global Marketing team to drive change and innovation. We see graphic design as visual storytelling that informs and inspires. We’re looking for a talented individual who can translate our new brand identity into our marketing activity while making every touchpoint visually engaging and emotionally impactful. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Data visualisation will feature strongly, so expertise in this field is essential. The role needs to be able to balance multiple projects at once and to work well under pressure and often to tight deadlines following a robust set of corporate guidelines. The position will be part of a multi-disciplined, global marketing team.
Main Responsibilities
Create inspiring, strategic, and innovative ideas for Wood Mackenzie that work in a fully integrated manner, both online and offline.
Effectively visualise and create concepts, giving direction on photography style, imagery, typography and iconography.
Act as a brand ambassador – to ensure design solutions follow our brand identity guidelines and maintain consistency and compliance across our design work.
Support in the roll-out of Wood Mackenzie’s 2023 visual identity.
Manage ideas through the creative process and design workflow system, Asana, ensuring stakeholders get a high-level overview of the process, and efficient final sign-off.
Consult with internal stakeholders to determine objectives, background information, budget, design approaches, styles and techniques.
Transform complex data into compelling data visualisations for social/digital media consumption that support our global marketing campaigns.
Build interactive editorial content for our thought leadership programmes using the digital platforms Ceros and Optimizley.
Support our Global Events team by providing end-to-end creative assets for in-person and virtual events.
Provide Pardot email coding and template design support for the Global Marketing team.
Partner with Sales and the Account Based Marketing teams to create high-quality renewal presentations in PowerPoint.
Work closely with Product Marketing to visually articulate how the Wood Mackenzie product suite helps solve our customers’ challenges.
Collaborate within the Creative team, sharing ideas, best practices, problem-solving, and participating in developing project briefs.
Demonstrate knowledge and thirst to investigate, innovate, and develop trends with an emphasis on digital application.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum three years’ experience in a graphic/digital design role
Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
Degree (or equivalent) in graphic/digital design or related discipline
Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
An interest in the latest digital technologies and software and growing trends within the creative industry
