Professional Experience
- Masters degree in business administration
- 8 years or more experience in financial services preferred. Experience in tech companies, ecommerce, fintechs, consulting etc. will be an advantage. Understanding of digital trends and new age payment solutions is important.
- Ideally should have handled a responsibility in product management with P&L/ revenue responsibility. Should have a very sharp understanding of consumer behavior, product operations, digital journeys, business processes and revenue impact.
- Good understanding of Visa Products and services is important.
Business and Technical Skills
- Good client engagement and communication skills. Should be comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients, Visa, and merchant partners.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, coupled with demonstrated negotiation and business development skills as the candidate requires to interact with senior professionals in financial institutions, Visa and alliance partners
- Deep understanding of Payments P&L
- Strong understanding of consumer products, solutions, and capabilities with the ability to embed this understanding into partner discussions, commercial agreements, etc.
- Exposure to technology and payments.
- A futurist view, ability to understand and capture trends and a broad understanding of Visa s capabilities and assets
- Proven previous engagements evaluating a technology landscape, preferably within finance payments and digital commerce
- Analytical mindset, with an ability to connect the dots for:
o Conduct competitive assessments to identify gaps and opportunities
o Identify key industry trends and develop action plans
o Enabling and delivering content and education to support internal and external clients
o Spread the innovation narrative for the segment
Leadership Skills
- Track record of working cross functionally and delivering measurable results, while managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Persuasion and negotiation abilities
- Be able to exert influence across levels, functions and geographies, in a highly matrixed organization
- Lead a diverse team with varied industry experience and vintage
- Self-motivated, results driven, flexible, customer focused. Should be a strong team-player
- Ability and experience of work in a multi-cultural, matrix environment is required.
- High level of personal integrity, loyalty, and ability to keep confidential information in secret is required as the candidate will have access to sensitive and confidential client information.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
