Do you have sharp analytical, accounting and technical skill? An exciting opportunity is available in Technical Accounting team where you will be responsible for :

• Doing Fair Value Option (FVO) accounting for financial instruments in accordance with IFRS, Swiss GAAP and BOE requirement.
• Analyzing of termsheets and using judgment to identify FVO relevant trades such as credit default swap, bonds, cross ccy swap etc and calculate coupon for those trades based on the nature of coupon and frequency.
• Preparing manual journals wherever required to correct the financial reporting
• Preparing reconciliation for FVH tagging and submitting exception list for correction
• Preparing quarterly financial disclosure such as offsetting financial asset and liability note.
• Conducting various pre and post data quality checks to ensure correctness of data.
• Conducting various leger control checks and taking corrective action.
• Analyzing MOM movement of Balance Sheet and PNL and providing commentary wherever relevant
• Providing BCS sign off based on supporting journal posted.
• Acting as a single point of contact for the designated area of work within the team and actively participate in process improvement areas.
• May also involves quality checking of the work done by peers and handling adhoc queries from clients.

You will be working in the Technical Accounting team under Group Accounting Policy (GAP) within Group Finance India. This is a global team which covers various regions such as UK, Zurich, APAC etc.

Your experience and skills

1. Should be a qualified CA with 4+ years of experience.
2. Accounting and controlling knowledge and experience.
3. Experience of working in Banking industry.
4. Good knowledge of IFRS 9 including classification.
5. Good understanding of various banking products like Futures, Swaps, Bonds, IRS, CDS etc.

6. Strong analytical skills as well as excellent problem solving skills.

7. Experience working with multiple stakeholder including Internal and external audit
8. Experience of automation, acceleration and optimization
9. Excellent MS Office skills. Excel spreadsheet skills should include ability to work on huge excel files with multiple tabs and complex formulas and ability to manipulate data e.g. Pivot tables

10. Knowledge of optimization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau etc will be added advantage.
