About the role:
You will lead a team of up to a maximum number of seven marketing content specialists, at any given point of time (depending on the future growth of the team in 2022 and beyond). However, initially, you may begin with either 3 or 4 content specialists reporting into you. As the team size increases, the number of other responsibilities you will have in terms of content creation will also be reduced accordingly.
For a certain part of your job, you will also own the creation and direction of various content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats for specific domains. Besides increasing website traffic and driving engagement, these efforts are intended to qualify lead generation, retain the customers, and influence other positive client-related outcomes.
You will also help define our brand story, in addition to developing consistency for our brand’s storytelling. Your obsession for content performance, reporting, and analytics will be highly desired too in this role.
Additionally, you will lead the development of our content initiatives with a publisher/journalist mindset, and in various forms, to drive new business and cultivate opportunities with our current client base.

Your success will be measured on the continual improvement of customer nurturing and retention through storytelling, as well as the increase in new prospects, through the consistent development and publishing of content.
In this role, you will:
Write and/or edit engaging content for blogs, articles, webinars, case studies, eBooks, fact sheets, white papers, corporate website and microsites, landing pages, events, solutions, e-mailers, social Media posts, etc.
Work on the general website updates and enhancements, e.g., new pages and calls-to-action placement.
Aim for continuous professional development and education in relevant areas (e.g., HubSpot certifications).
Contribute to the company email marketing efforts, including newsletters, automated workflows, and so on.
Own analytics and reporting to enhance content marketing efforts.
Take up search engine optimization (SEO) efforts for website and content.
Create compelling social media content for community engagement and long-term content promotion.
Aim for the publication of three or more new pieces of content, every week. You will interview internal subject matter experts for content.
How can you be successful in this role?
In essence, you will be one of the key company storytellers, who creates those content assets that not only aim to address the pain points of the customers, but also those that demonstrate “what’s in it for the customers” and “how do we stand out from the others” aspects exceptionally well.
So, you will likely be successful in this role, if you adopt a combination of marketing and publishing mindsets — of course, highly influenced by a “customer-first” mentality.
Qualifications and attributes that are desired for this role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, or a related communications field.
Excellent writing and editorial skills, with appreciable command of the English language.
A good understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.
Training or experience as a print or broadcast journalist will be a bonus.
The ability to tell a compelling story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience.
The ability to think like an educator, intuitive understanding of what the audience needs to know, and how they want to consume it.
A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools to optimize content assets and social media outreach.
Clear articulation of the business goals or vision behind the creation of content assets.
Effective project management and people skills to address editorial schedules and deadlines for the corporate campaigns.
Familiarity with the principles of marketing, with a focus on continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools, and marketing solutions through partnerships.
Able to screen out sales pitches and look for the relevant brand and customer story.
