In functional role, lead a team of Product and Marketing Managers & Pricing and Quote team to support the growth opportunities . The detailed responsibilities under each function are as following
Product Management & Strategy
Monthly review of Product performance and share best practices or implement corrective actions needed to meet the annual AOP Build & execute product strategy for driving growth and increasing market share in targeted segments or for specific portfolio.
Strategically analyze the right price proposition to define the target selling price and launch promotional offers to accelerate sales
Conduct product trainings for commercial and extended teams to help build product competency and value proposition-based sales approach
Work closely with supply chain and commercial team for ensuring timely and accurate sales forecasting (SIOP) based on opportunity pipelines and projects.
Own the product inventory liquidation responsibility (D&E) to ensure we meet the annual targets
Provide visibility to management through MBR reporting on key trends, major wins/losses, upcoming projects and competitive insights
Competitive analysis – closely track competitive products and build sales tools to help commercial teams to be successful in field.
Analyze regularly Import data to monitor competitor sales to derive strategic insights on market share Liaison with peer product managers from other countries to learn some of the best practices and implement them in India as suitable
Regularly review SFDC pipeline to ensure healthy funnel for meeting annual targets, quality of opportunities and win/loss data Build a comprehensive product demo / sampling plan across India and drive the same.
Monitor demo inventory usage and accountability to have effective ROI Support commercial team and customers on technical queries & quality complaints
Identify and grow eBusiness opportunities working closely with Marketing and commercial teams Manage Third party portfolio & vendor / supplier relationships to launch new products, enhance product basket offering and bringing new growth opportunities Review profitability through margin analysis and take appropriate actions to deliver profitable growth
Marketing & Demand Generation
Design & Drive marketing campaigns portfolio in said markets to meet demand generation goals
Develop segment value proposition and customer engagement programs for better brand recall and promotion.
Work closely with product management teams in executing product wise industry campaigns, product launches and strategic programs Identify and share new market growth opportunities (new projects) & competitive insights to facilitate product and commercial teams to be proactive in their strategies
Works closely with other marketing peers to bring cross divisional synergies and collaboration
Drive lead management discipline by closely working along with commercial leaders Own mapping of addressable market size for annual STRAP process Support eBusiness growth through lead generation and new account identification Implement & drive a robust Digital & Social marketing strategy to drive visibility, brand awareness, lead generation and new customer acquisition
Work closely with the corporate vertical marketing team and IMAC function to actively engage and participate in collaborative projects driving a one Thermo approach Build and communicate segment/application-based workflow solutions helping create new opportunities
Commercial Pricing & Quotes
Work closely with Product Managers, Finance and Commercial leader to ensure timely roll out of annual prices. Work closely with IT for updating prices & costs on SAP/SFDC Ensure pricing inputs are provided for new code creation request, Flash monthly dashboards to stakeholders to evaluate TAT .
Maintain & update product master file for active and obsolete SKU’s as ready reference Support customer/dealer / Internal quote requests Ensure tender participations follow the agreed SOP and seek requisite local legal & finance approvals.
Update document repository enabling commercial teams to have quick access to documents, certificates and reports as required
Coordinate with factories / APAC hub for manuf. authorizations & commercial teams to update tender tracking report and share with respective stakeholders
Work closely with product managers, commercial teams and Corporate marketing team for uploading products on GeM Portal Support bulk upload of marketing leads and manage campaign code in SFDC Support CAS sampling process for working closely with Telemarketing team
Candidate Experience & Requirements:
12 + years of Marketing and/or Business Strategy experience Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required, advanced technical degree or MBA or PhD highly preferred
Experience working for a global, highly-matrixed company in a scientific, life sciences, or similar industry Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key business partners and customers to impact growth Excellent strategy, planning and execution with a strong results-oriented approach.
The ability to create a vision of a product, translate it into strategy and value-driven roadmap Commercial sensibility: ability to recognize growth opportunities and execute on them.
Effective leadership, adept at team-building and experienced in change management Excellent presentation and communication skills
Experience and demonstrated aptitude both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives Analytical mindset to help setup processes to drive efficiency Willingness to travel domestically (on average 30 %) as required. Experience in interacting with highly technical customers and customer groups
