Job Description – Social Media Manager, The Better India

We are searching for a digital marketing specialist with a strong background in social media platforms. In this role, you will work within the marketing team to come up with out-of-the-box social media strategies to build our brand across digital avenues.

As a Social Media Manager, the following will be your primary areas of work:

• Understanding each social media channel’s audience, aligning The Better India’s content strategy with each of them, and ensuring regular content flow on all channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube etc.)
• Creating original content for social Media
• Working with graphic designers to develop social media marketing campaigns
• Staying updated about the latest social media trends, social media practices, social media automation tools, content management tools, video, copy graphics tools and also about the competitors’ social media channels
• Analyzing The Better India’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
• Working and coordinating with cross functional teams across domains to lead and close all social media initiatives
• Creating video content individually or leading a team of freelancers, interns, and social media executives
• Owning the marketing pipeline for community events, brand programs, and content distribution activities

Skills & Requirements

• Around 3-5 years of experience in marketing as a social media specialist (Manager, executive, or individual contributor) for a high growth consumer tech startup
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
• Has proven record of social media management and growth for previous employers
• Excellent copywriting and content management skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to think creatively
• Curious, innovative, and confident in your abilities to drive change
