Job Title: Assistant Manager – Communications
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and respected corporate communications specialist to join our organization. In this position, you will be involved in both external and internal communications for Thales.
This is an individual contributor role.
Key responsibility areas: Events and Internal communications
Organise external / internal events for Thales in India
Liaise with industry bodies like Assocham, FICCI, etc. for memberships and for Thales speaker’s participation in relevant seminars / conferences organised by them; maintain business relationships with the industry bodies / think tanks
Prepare appropriate content (speech notes / slide deck / videos…) for the speakers or events when required
Propose internal comms action plan for the year and implement when validated
Writing / editing a variety of content for internal communication channels as per the calendar
Ensure messages are consistent with the business strategy and Thales standards.
Intranet: manage the content (company info, news, articles) on the India intranet. Liaise with different stakeholders to build news stories and keep the intranet updated
Liaise with Culture Connect Committees across different sites (offices) of Thales in India for employee engagement
Constant connect with HR, HSE, Quality and other departments for communication support and campaigns
Follow Thales brand standards and support branding needs of different sites / departments
Additionally:
Be an integral part of the communication team in India to support the business objectives
Be agile in filling in for other communication tasks when required
Mandatory proficiency in English (oral and written) expected. French knowledge would be a plus.
Interact with agencies (graphic, photo, video, PR…) for any particular A/V or content to be prepared
Liaise with internal stakeholders (in India, France or other countries) for different comms initiatives and coordination
Keep a track of budget to be used for the defined initiatives
Requirements And Qualifications
4 to 6 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, PR, Social media, events, influencer marketing, CSR
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills is a pre-requisite; strong copywriting and content creation skills
Strong knowledge of social media
Willing to work, network and collaborate with a global communications team, sitting across countries and continents and managing time zones effectively
Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
