Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date accounting system and ensure compliance with Indian accounting regulations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in compliance with Indian standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
- Provide guidance to the management team on financial matters in India
- Manage tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and other tax compliance requirements in India
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or a related field in India
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting principles and regulations, including GST and TDS compliance requirements
- Experience with accounting software, such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification in India
- Experience with financial analysis and forecasting in an Indian context
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment in India
