Standard Chartered Hiring for AVP, Accounting %26 Controls at India Full Time

Role Responsibilities

A leading role in R2R Accounting and Controls managing the intercompany reporting and delivery of net down process on a quarterly basis to Group FR team.

• Manage end-to-end intercompany reconciliation and reporting process.
• Review and monitor the net down position on a quarterly basis.
• Support the team in escalating data quality issues that hinders quarter close.
• Work closely with countries/PC team/FMO for closure of any material breaks that might potential be an open item.
• Act as a key contact person to address any interco related queries.
• Ideate and execute process improvement.
• Perform process risk analysis to identify the gaps in the existing process.
• Ensure that the team captures appropriate metrics for tracking actual hours/ standard hours/ Errors etc.
• Support various GFS initiatives across various pillars.
• Ensure robust documentation of all processes and review annually.

• Implement Knowledge Management initiatives through trainings, workshops to build domain capabilities required for the job.

Risk Management

• To be aware of accounting policy/interco standards as it prescribes the process and in case of any breaks/outstanding balances, the timely action required. So, the employee should adhere to that policy in terms of highlighting such issues as risk in the right forums.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Preferably Chartered accountant / ICMA or Commerce Graduate.
• 15+ years work experience in Financial Accounting, Reporting and a reasonably good, technical accounting experience.
• Have a sound knowledge on the offshoring model preferably with a financial services background.
• Knowledge of Finance policies, procedures and processes and how to deliver and support managers in effectively managing their teams.
