SafeGuard Global Hiring for Finance Team Leader Job at New Delhi Full Time

The role in a nutshell:

Finance Team Leader is a part of our worldwide accounting team. This role is responsible for implementing financial strategies in partnership with the Controllership team, and driving scalable, best practices into the accounting organization. This position plays a key role in our growth by continuously improving our ability to provide timely and accurate financial data to the organization to enable decisions that support achieving our plans.

How you will make a difference:

Audit:

• Managing audits for all the APAC and assigned EMEA locations.
• Collaboration with the financial consolidation team during monthly group close and group annual audit Maintaining relationships with third parties including Bankers, compliance partners, and Auditors.

Taxation and Secretarial compliance

• Reviewing and supporting team for GST return of all the applicable locations.
• Reviewing and supporting team for BAS return of Australia entity.
• Filing and Payment of Income Tax returns and working on other year-end compliances
• Reviewing withholding tax returns and other applicable forms for all the locations Coordination with Auditors and consultants for their queries.
• Coordination with consultants for the preparation of Board Minutes and other secretarial compliances for the relevant Entities.

Accounting and Reconciliations

• Reviewing for Monthly closing of the Books including preparation of internal worker salary journals.
• Reviewing provision journals for Taxes and other yearend cost like Audit, ITR and Intercompany journals etc.
• Supporting the team in Monthly closing. Supporting the team to prepare balance sheet recs and review those on monthly basis.
• Coordination with various team for reconciliation of books of accounts

GEO Reconciliation

• Reconciling revenue for current and past month and posting the correction entry after finding the reason for variance Reconciling Salary Contra and Intercompany contract code wise and raising the variances to concerned team for correction.
• Reconciling Contra variance of COS and revenue journal for all the APAC and EMEA locations and get the variances fixed by the responsible team.
• Preparing Accrual journals for revenue and other contra codes After preparing the Accrual journals we need to share it with Ops or invoicing team to provide their comments We need to coordinate with Operations and Invoicing team for reason of not receiving revenue invoice for the month and do the regular follow up to make sure we receive the reply within reasonable time.
• Need to update Accrual True up sheet on daily basis after posting the accrual journals on basis of comments received from Ops and invoicing team
• Regular meetings to discuss the status of GEO reconciliation with Tracy and Ish

Miscellaneous

• Filing Surveys initiated by Authorities in various entities and other miscellaneous regular correspondences
• Attending various regular calls with consultants to be on top of the compliances.
• Meeting with team members and resolving their queries.
• Working on the emails and queries of consultants Working on queries of consultants and taking the appropriate action
• Working on queries of Internal business partners. Responsible for managing team of 4-5 members.

What will give you an advantage:

• B.Com or B.Com (honors)
• Chartered Accountant (or country equivalent) or progression towards preferred.
• 8+ years of professional experience, public accounting experience highly desired.
• Ability to work 1:30pm – 10:30pm to work with multiple teams in various international locations.
• Strong understanding of accounting with technical background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to develop a team of people i.e. share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and customers; coaching, development, ad hoc training
