Job Purpose
Consumer and market insights (CMI) as a function is responsible for all kinds of customer research (qualitative and quantitative) as well as market insights (sales funnel) work – supporting internal stakeholders across functions and enabling them to make strategic decisions.
The incumbent will act as a strategic partner for the business and provide actionable business recommendations through insights into consumer trends, competitive landscape and market in order to drive growth across markets, categories and sub-brands. The role holder will be leading and working with diverse in-house and external teams comprising specialists in the area of market research, data modeling, insights and analytics, leverage a pool of available resources to generate these insights including local market trends, market shares, brand health measurement, JD Power, CRM initiatives and relevant analytical techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Complete ownership and accountability of sales funnel data- analyze sales data for RE and competition (internal + external sources) and consolidate information into actionable insights, reports and presentations
Monthly reporting and dashboard of funnel data to be used by internal stakeholders – Identification of key trends, changes and insights. (At national and regional level)
Ad-hoc data analysis for various business problems/questions
Predictive analytics using sales/service funnel information
End to end project management for various qualitative and quantitative researches
Comfort in driving research projects grounds up and execution independently – Research design, Questionnaire/Discussion guide design, sample plan, execution, report preparation and presentation
Past experience in leading large scale projects (qualitative and quantitative) – exploratory, customer immersions, BHR, CSAT, NPS, Product research etc.
Quick research execution using new age tools and online platforms to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Continuously build knowledge base of auto/2W industry and track key consumer and market trends
Develop market foresight, a deep understanding of the target consumer base, and competitive intelligence to find prospective customers and drive smart business decisions and growth across brand and categories (Motorcycle, Apparel, GMA)
Responsible for tracking the brand health and integrating the same with internal data sources to provide lead and lag measures for the organization
Use appropriate measurement techniques to provide actionable feedback on brand communication and messaging
Cater to ad hoc business questions emanating from the brand strategy team to aid their decision making

Bachelor’s degree- (Full Time) – Any specialization
Experience
8+ years of relevant experience (Min 5+ years of experience with agencies or CMI team)
Proficiency in MS excel and PowerPoint (Knowledge of Power BI will be plus)
An individual who has experience in working with large data sets & data sources
Comfortable in working with tight timelines & multiple stakeholders
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excel, PowerPoint, data representation and visualization tools like PowerBI
Good understanding of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative)
Strong analytical, planning and multi-tasking skills
