Candidate should have following experiences:
Been part or had prior experience in working for Big 4 Audit/ Start-up / Due diligence/ M&A Advisory (Must have)
Clear understanding of Financial Preparation , Basic Taxation , Cash flows, Finances, Valuations, GAAP, Accounting standards, Balance Sheets etc (Must have)
Understanding and knowledge on financial information (Financial statements, NPV, IRR, Payback period etc)
Hands on research skills, deep dive analysis on financials and understanding any anomalies in financials (Must have)
Clear communication skill, the role requires the candidate to have conversations with various business leaders (Must have)
Basic understanding on Fund raise, M&A, Due diligence, Audit and Valuation (FPnA)
Ability to work in a fast paced environment or a very changing atmosphere
Understanding different stages of M&A transaction ( Basic stages) and ability to learn new things on a job
Financial modelling skills and understanding various approaches to valuation
Understanding and analyzing KPI’s of the Company
Hands on Excel skills and Power Point skills, hands on crunching large amount of data and presenting them in a simplified manner (Must have)
Understanding basic Legal Jargons and Framework , in a legal document
Hands on financial controllership understanding (Must have)
Hands on organizing skills and project management (Must Have)
Qualifications:
Chartered accountant fresher up to 0-2 years’ post qualification work experience ,
B.com / BBA graduates 3-5 years of work experience in the above field
MBA 0-2 years’ work experience in the above fieldCandidate would be involved in M&A transaction from stage of Valuation till the Pre-Merger integration of the acquired entity. In such course the candidate would have to prepare financial models, perform a high level analysis on the Target, provide key issues/ red flags that can be expected in a deal and be involved in various such activities till closure of the M&A transaction. The candidate would be coordinating with multiple stake holders such as Target Founders/ In-house Corporate Development Team/ Legal Team/ Bankers/ Treasury/ CFO/CEO and other CXOs.
