Job Description
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analysing third party valuations by challenging assumptions and performing sensitivity analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
Assisting during each phase of a securitisation transaction, from loan file due diligence, collateral and modelling services to post-closing, comfort services and periodic reporting
Creating independent financial models to project collateral and bond cash-flows for various debt types and related securitizations, including asset backed securities, mortgage backed securities, and collateralized loan obligations;
Developing deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets, serving as a firm resource for that expertise
Reporting and presenting analysis and conclusions including written reports, and drafting valuation queries for audit team
Valuation-related work including but not limited to solid experience of constructing and reviewing valuation models such as: DCF, comparable company / bond, option pricing model (knowledge of building breakpoints), waterfall allocation methods etc.
End to end understanding of various nuances in arriving at fair valuation of company’s shares
Ability to analyze key financial metrics depending on the portfolio company’s industry, identify historical trends and perform calibration analysis to understand the key drivers causing the changes in the company’s valuation in each reporting period.
Structured finance-related work which including but not limited to Transaction & Financial modelling, cash flow modelling & bond data, investor reporting and ongoing deal management and Regulation AB
Understanding of securitisation products such as ABS, RMBS, CMBS, Agency or CLO/CDOs;
Enhancing the quality of work by actively taking responsibility for the quality of work and performing a critical self-review, seeking proactively the advice of supervisors, and responding to feedback in a timely manner
Playing a role in discussions, proactively ask questions and share an informed point of view
Requirements
MBA Finance/ CFA / FRM / CA freshers
Advance knowledge in Microsoft Office especially Excel
Basic understanding of financial modelling, corporate financial statements and various types of securities
Proficient in written and verbal English communication skills
Commitment to continuous training and to proactively learn new processes
Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
Strong intellectual curiosity and a fast learner, should be a team player.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
