PPD is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our statutory compliance team.
You will reporting to the Associate Director, Finance and will form part of the statutory compliance (“stats”) team. This is a small specialist team that has responsibility for all statutory compliance matters for EMEA and APAC (excluding UK entities).
Responsibilities
Each member of the team manages their own portfolio of PPD entities, with activities including:
Statutory Auditing
This covers project (audit) planning and deadline management for financial statements, audits and annual and interim corporate tax returns – ensuring that all filing requirements are met and are subject to PPD’s internal control processes.
Working in conjunction with PPD country accounting teams you will manage the relationships with auditors, tax advisors and external accountants.
You will also coordinate with the PPD tax team for technical reviews and approvals for tax filings and with the legal department regarding company secretarial compliance.
You will also be responsible for maintaining internal project trackers and databases.
Technical and accounting
You will be responsible for performing and/or reviewing detailed reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP as well as between local GAAP profit and taxable profit.
You will deal with audit and tax queries and will review financial statements, tax computations and tax returns.
You will also liaise with and support the treasury department as necessary with regards to dividends and global cash management.
