As a Content writer, you are in charge of creating and deploying highly effective online content, including functional user documentation. To achieve that, you will collaborate closely with the R&D and the Product Owner team to stay up to date on the new features. You need to understand the different apps and how to use the features to explain them properly and make sure our users learn how to use them.
You will also write video scripts for Odoo Tutorials, our eLearning platform, as well as product advertising videos.
Of course, marketing promotion is part of your job: product advertising, marketing campaigns, and other marketing/educational projects.
This position is both creative and rigorous by nature. It requires gathering knowledge from various sources and compiling it in structured, easy-to-understand content. We expect the candidate to be proactive and have a “get it done” spirit.
To be successful, you will need solid English writing skills to write the content, a passion for innovative and technical products, and an eagerness to learn how the features work.
Responsibilities
Content writing: user documentation on the new apps and features, blog posts
Script writing for training videos and ad videos
Promotion: craft compelling and educational messages across various marketing channels, videos and social media
Nurture contact with Product Owners and stay up to date on the features
Various side tasks according to your skills: showroom creation, customer success stories, blog writing, video production/registration, subtitles translation, OXP support, webinars, release notes, educational projects, etc.
Must Have
1-2 years of experience
Bachelor degree or higher
Perfect written English
Passion for software/technical products
Strong business curiosity and willingness to learn about business
Highly creative and autonomous
Driving license
Nice to Have
Experience/interest in online content writing and video scripts writing
Experience in a technical/software environment
Genuine interest about different business aspects like accounting, point of sales, spreadsheets, project management, etc.
Experience with online marketing and SEO
Experience/knowledge in media production
