Business : Global Hedge Fund Administrator (Pune / Bangalore)

Role Description:

The job requires working for a Global Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. This individual will have a strong technical Accounting background; experience working within the Financial Services industry. The position within Middle Office and Operations teams involves understanding of various investment instruments like Derivatives, Swaps, CFDs, Repos, Equities, Fixed Income Products and Alternative assets; Options, Futures, performing daily reconciliation of transactions, security positions, cash for all trading activity generated by clients, analyse P&L, MTM and collateral checks.

Middle Office Teams

OTC Structured Products

• Confirmation of all OTC trades on electronic platforms or on paper (scanned) where required and liaising between trading desk, reconciliation and control group, and counterparties to resolve any economic discrepancies on trades in timely, efficient manner.
• Ensure timely receipt of OTC confirmations from trading counterparties and accuracy of transaction agreements and modifications.
• Manage the settlement of swap cash flows associated with OTC products, including unwinds, quarterly fees, resets, and premiums and process all aspects of periodic resets for IRS, CDS, and TRS products
• Review booking of corporate actions and dividends/coupons to ensure it affects the position and pnl properly and efficiently identify transaction discrepancies between the client and swap counterparties

Cash & FX

• Manage the daily processing of cash flow requests by clients which includes ensuring proper AML checks performed on the instruction, ensuring all required approvals have occurred, executing payments per authorized instruction, confirming payments have been made, posting all cash related transactions as instructed by the client and assisting in the resolution of any issues related to payments made on behalf of clients.
• Manage the daily processing and settlement of FX transactions (spot, forwards, options) for clients and work with clients to resolve cash breaks and issues related to wire payments.
• Perform trade matching and affirmation for FX trades on trade date between the client and its counterparties, communicate trade discrepancies to internal partners and assist in resolving mismatches between the client and its counterparties.
• Coordinate connectivity with client’s banks, custodians and prime brokers through SWIFT and administer account implementation process and effectively communicate status to internal partners; Sanction Screening and escalate issues and resolutions in daily process requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

• Experience in Financial Services environment, preferably, with experience in Derivatives and Middle Office functions
• Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline. Masters’ degree would be an advantage.
• Business exposure to Equity or Credit or at least some complex derivative products like CDS, IRS, TRS & other OTC products.
• Knowledge of financial products like, Equity, Derivatives, Repo, Futures and Options ,Fixed Income and Alternative assets etc
