The Role:

MEICON is seeking to add an experienced Accountant to our fast-growing team. As an Accountant, you will be part of a U.S. based organization providing support across accounting and financial analysis functions. The role will be based in Hyderabad, with enormous scope for career growth.

• Be the main point of contact for clients and assist with their overall accounting needs
• Support and assist clients with annual budget preparation
• Candidate should have 5+ years of experience in accounting and tax preparation, including for Individuals, Corps, and Partnerships(K-1’s)
• Perform Quarterly and annual tax analyses
• Assist with preparing year-end audit support requests
• Develop, implement and document accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with the month-end close, including analyzing and preparing monthly / YTD income statement variance explanations
• Mentor and train Accountants, including review of tax-based analysis prepared for clients
• Prepare excel based work papers such as prepaid property tax, insurance, accruals, and supporting calculations
• Preparation of yearly Depreciation and amortization schedules
• Oversight of the capacity models for Accounting and Tax
• Manage accounting issues resulting from project work such as defects, manual accounting, items not yet programmed, development of new BAU processes, procedures, and training
• Develop strategies to optimize Accounting workflow
• Collaborate with the client’s specific business operations, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders necessary to fulfill the Accounting and Financial Operational needs of the client
• Financial knowledge – understanding of U.S. GAAP and Stat
• Ability to process and analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information
• Ability to synthesize complex business problems and detailed analysis with a high degree of clarity
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Project management skills required, project management certification a plus
• Real Estate Accounting experience preferred
• Ad Hoc projects

Relevant experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree with a concentration in accounting or finance
• MBA preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong MS Office literacy e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Experience with UltraTax CS and similar programs

• QuickBooks & Infor experience required

Salary: From ₹400,000.00 per year
