Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in our Gurugram office as part of our Panorama Financial Institutions Center, working directly with our India Banking practice leadership on client engagements.
The Panorama Financial Institutions Center (PFIC) is one of the largest knowledge and analytics teams globally. It is a part of the Banking & Insurance practice of McKinsey with 230+ members and a global footprint across 25+ locations with a focus on financial services domains such as retail banking, corporate and investment banking, payments, wealth and asset management, fintech, and insurance.
What You’ll Do
You will lead workstreams, drive client workshops and be a thought partner for client-service teams.
In this role, your key responsibilities will also include client development. You will provide letters of proposal support as well as create client-ready materials which could be in the form of PowerPoint presentations and/or financial models. You will also be involved with other tasks such as project management. You will contribute to shaping the practice’s knowledge agenda. You will lead the creation of client relevant knowledge, proprietary assets and/or capabilities in your area of expertise.
You will also coach/mentor junior colleagues and contribute to firm-wide and PFIC level initiatives. Additionally, you will establish a robust network by playing a pivotal role in internal dissemination and external reputation building.
Qualifications
MBA or similar qualifications in economics, operations or finance with a strong academic record
3+ years of experience with other consulting firms in a banking-focused consulting role or experience working with banks and fintech companies
Strong understanding of banking concepts, products, operations and/or technology
Experience communicating analytical insights to a business audience
Strong project management skills; experience managing multiple timelines in a deadline driven environment
Excellent quantitative problem-solving skills
Highly analytical
Professional attitude and service orientation
Collaborative; ability to work independently as well as in a team
Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
