Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in Gurugram, working as a part of an international Global Payments Map (GPM) solution team (other team members located currently in Atlanta, Gurugram, Toronto, and Warsaw).
GPM is a proprietary payments market intelligence solution used at hundreds of McKinsey engagements each year (in payments, banking, consumer, private equity, and other industries) as well as by many direct subscribers (incl. fintechs, technology companies, payments specialists, and banks). It offers detailed payments market-sizing estimates and forecasts as well as bespoke payments market research and benchmarking. GPM enables our clients to identify growth opportunities, supports their strategic planning & budgeting processes, and allows to measure performance of their payment businesses against market trajectory.
You will interact on daily basis with other McKinsey colleagues (e.g., team members and leaders of McKinsey integrative consulting engagements, knowledge consultants, researchers from geographies covered by GPM solution, colleagues from other McKinsey solution teams) and clients (served by McKinsey in a consulting engagement setup or direct subscribers to GPM solution). Additionally, you will interact frequently with leading McKinsey thinkers on payments, leaders of McKinsey Payments and Banking practice, and other colleagues throughout the firm.
Your role will be global in nature, so these interactions may involve occasional travel. Please see our websitefor more information.
What You’ll Do
You will maintain, develop and deliver to clients the Global Payments Map (GPM) – one of the key knowledge assets of McKinsey Payments and Banking practice.
You will split your time between updating and validating Global Payments Map knowledge assets, and delivering GPM insights to McKinsey clients (e.g., sharing and explaining GPM market-sizing estimates and forecasts, providing counsel to integrative consultants on approaches to solve client problems, responding to questions on payments market trends, joining McKinsey consulting engagements to deliver project workstreams).
You will develop new GPM modules to capture emerging payments market trends and innovations, expand GPM coverage to new geographies, and improve delivery of GPM insights to McKinsey teams and clients. In addition, you will support the development of McKinsey internal and external publications on payments (e.g., our annual Global Payments Report).
