You will be based in Gurugram as part of McKinsey’s Treasury Equity team, and work primarily with our internal colleagues from treasury, legal, tax, accounting, and finance from around the world to multitask on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. You will also work with our external bankers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team to help build a new function that supports international equity and derivatives management. This function will operate within the construct of a third party trust for a reputable multinational professionals services firm.
What You’ll Do
You will help build a new function that supports international equity and derivatives management.
You will manage main relationship with trust that holds equity securities received from third parties and fund investments. You’ll Interface with trustee, trust relationship associates, and custody teams on all matters related to trust holdings.
You’ll review trust contribution legal agreements and other related documentation. You’ll track edits and maintain version control together with legal and contract counterparts. You will collaborate with and incorporate inputs from external legal counsels, equity negotiators, portfolio management and tax teams.
You will collaborate with the trust portfolio management team and treasury to help manage cash inflows and outflows related to trust, portfolio company & PE fund investments, LP interests, dividends, and other corporate actions.
You will work with treasury, compliance, equity, accounting, and other functional teams to refine and standardize equity management process and policies.
You will support issuance of treasury’s global debt facilities by reviewing draft debt covenants and other terms/conditions. You will lead the noteholder re-registration process by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders when note re-registrations are required.
You will review legal documents related to bank account openings and maintenance. This may include terms and conditions, local credit agreements, and related documentation. You will coordinate with Legal on corporate banking resolutions.
You will assist with various post deal operations, custody functions, and corporate treasury activities, including debt and revolving credit facilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with attorneys on legal agreements or contract drafting with multiple rounds of edits back and forth; maintain a critical eye for wording and phrasing
Experience in a legal and/or trust environment during deal phase, working towards deadlines to deliver executed agreements
Knowledge of systems for portfolio management, CRM, or corporate actions management
Paralegal administration is a plus
Familiarity with corporate resolutions
Able to set and adjust expectations and meet client driven deadlines
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with general guidance and thrive in ambiguous environments without strict structure
Flexibility in attending meetings across time zones in order to keep international deliverables on track
