The Accounts Payable Specialist reviews and verifies all purchase orders, statements, and invoices needed to prepare payments. Prepares and processes payments accurately and on time for amounts owed by the company. Being an Accounts Payable Specialist identifies and resolves any discrepancies to an account. Reconciles bills and balances accounts. In addition, Accounts Payable Specialist tracks all payment and transaction records using applicable systems. May maintain vendor files. Being an Accounts Payable Specialist possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Understanding of full cycle AP
Must be knowledgeable in both Expense and Purchase order accounts
Processing and scanning of vendor invoices and check requests
Work with accounting departments and internal Marketing business partners to ensure accurate account coding and proper expense allocation
Manage relationships with internal/external business partners and provide timely responses to vendor and internal Marketing business partner inquiries
Incoming and outgoing mail. Assist in administration of shared mailbox.
