Position Overview:
The main area of focus for an Assistant Marketing Manager would be to drive brand building initiatives for L.E.K.’s Southeast Asia Practice. The successful candidate will join the Mumbai office and will focus on education, healthcare, and core strategy/general private equity (which will include exposure to different verticals like consumers, technology, packaging, industrials etc.).
The role spans across client development and marketing functions for the above-mentioned sectors, with exposure to marketing strategy formulation, and full client development pipeline, from research enabling lead generation to targeted marketing campaigns, to events and client meetings, through to engagement initiation and IP generation. The individual in this role will gain exposure to the business development approach of a fast-paced and international firm that has a very diverse client base ranging from Singapore to Sao Paulo.
Major Responsibilities:
The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating marketing, client development, and brand building initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to:
Work with the Head of Marketing & Communications (SEA) and senior leadership in designing and implementing marketing and communications strategy including how we use our marketing channels (e.g., publications, social, media engagement, events, partnerships, etc.)
Develop a strategic tool kit to engage target audience through thought-leadership publications, PR, email campaigns, events, conferences, partnerships, social media, recruitment marketing, and alumni outreach
Guide Marketing Coordinator(s) to ensure timely execution of marketing plans for various industries/sectors
Conduct timely analysis and reporting of campaign analytics through strong data-driven reports to illustrate achievement of KPIs and provide results and trends
Projecting and tracking marketing budget on a monthly basis
Supporting content generation (social media copy, infographics, blogs, articles etc.)
Setting up tracking systems for measuring the impact of each marketing campaign
Managing client communication (mass level) through email campaigns and newsletters
Developing strategic partnerships with stakeholders in the industry
Developing and managing production and delivery of marketing collateral
Developing and updating standard credentials
Managing and updating contact lists in CRM systems
Researching and supporting planning for events, including identifying and targeting potential clients, as well as supporting presentation development for events
Supporting knowledge management
Lead Sales Navigator initiatives with the team
Collaborating with the design department to produce promotional materials (collateral, videos, infographics etc.)
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications
Coordinating and collaborating with L.E.K.’s global marketing team, and, as appropriate, with colleagues in other regions
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of work experience in a marketing role (B2B industry preferred, with a focus on communication and events)
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Excellent academic and/or professional record
Strong capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint, with an aptitude for learning
Strong quantitative capabilities and facility with data-driven analytics
Demonstrated interest in international business and client development
Comfort with ambiguity, a fast-paced business environment, and an international work remit
Enthusiasm and passion for putting skills to action
Candidate Qualifications:
Post-graduate degree or equivalent from a reputed institute (preferably an MBA degree)
Previous experience in the education and/or healthcare sectors is an advantage, but not essential
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, especially Salesforce, is preferred
Experience with tools such as Google Analytics and Pardot is preferred
Ability to be calm, focused, and organized in a fast-paced, intense, and often ambiguous environment.
