Overall Purpose of this Role
The role of the Social Media Team Lead / Senior is to:
Manage and provide expertise on organic and paid social media campaigns, social listening activities and performance reporting
Ability to proofread social media content, guide junior team members, analyze competitor activity, and apply best practices across all areas of operation
Liaise with onshore and offshore stakeholders for understanding the requirements, provide recommendations and ensure timely execution
Monitor adherence to social media standards and policy, including brand and risk compliance
Mitigate risk for KPMG by providing timely responses to inquiries on KPMG UK social media accounts
Key areas of responsibility
Social Media Publishing & Community Management
Assist in representing KPMG on external social media communities including (but not limited to): LinkedIn company page and groups, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
Assist in maintaining a presence in online social communities. Schedule posts, monitor and respond to basic inquiries posted to official KPMG social media accounts.
Use the social media monitoring tools for the early identification of emerging industry trends, potential threats, and opportunities, providing feedback and alerts.
Hands on experience in engaging influencers or driving employee advocacy programs to amplify social performance.
Proactively monitor for potential crisis scenarios and business opportunities and escalate each to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
Collect and deliver insights from the social media conversation back into KPMG.
Social Media Monitoring
Use the social media monitoring tools for the early identification of emerging industry trends, potential threats and opportunities, providing feedback and alerts.
Collaborate with Social Media Community Coordinator on development of campaign and program-based social media monitoring reports for global marketers and communicators.
Work with web analytics team to develop social media tracking links.
Research
Scan social media communities for engagement opportunities for KPMG senior leaders.
Identify social media influencers that could assist in amplifying KPMG messaging and content.
Collect insights from social conversations that could be used to inform the development of engaging social media content.
Social Media Reporting
Development of social media listening report, based on the details provided by business.
Develop web conversion reports by mapping the overall web journey through social media activity with the help of unique trackable codes
Development of quarterly analysis report and monthly industry/service line reports within agreed timeframe and with complete accuracy
Produce and deliver social media flash alert on a timely basis for marketers and other stakeholders
Deliver weekly recap of top engaged posts on each social media channel
Essential skills required
Education / professional qualifications
Master’s degree in Marketing with strong academic credentials
Prior Experience:
5-7 years of experience in a similar role for a large multinational / matrix organization
Prior experience in managing social media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook
Experience working with social media scheduling / monitoring tools – Hootsuite and Brandwatch.
Required skills:
Strong leadership skills and delivery management with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences
Familiarity with copywriting/copyediting and knowledge of what makes good social media content
Familiarity with project management platforms such as Workfront
Demonstrate efficient operations competencies with ardent attention to detail
Good conceptual knowledge of B2B social media marketing concepts

Professional and organized approach to work and a strong team player
Working to strict deadlines and flexibility in time management to adjust to UK shift timings (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM IST)

Required Languages
Excellent proficiency in English for communicating with the UK audience. Additional languages would be advantageous, although not necessary
