Job summary:
As an Associate in Equity Sales, you will be responsible for stockbroking, developing and maintaining key institutional investor client relationships, playing a central role in distributing JP Morgan’s India and global equity product and partnering with our leading Capital Markets team to deliver deals to our investor clients. You will be part of the India Equity Sales teambased in Mumbai, working closely with theIndia salesand sales trading teams, global sales teams and broaderresearch and equities teams. Youshould have an understanding of the equities product, and be able to market the product effectivelyto a broad range of clients (such as asset managers, insurancecompanies, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, mutual funds, hedge funds etc.) The ideal candidateshouldalso be able to generate fundamental stock ideas and share market insights. Existing client relationships / experience in dealing with equities clients would be a plus. Proficiency in writing and speaking on the markets / stocks is an essential. An ideal candidate will bring a collaborative approach, working with business partners across trading, research, syndicate,capital markets, investor access and others to provide comprehensive client coverage, delivering the whole firm in order to maximize the client experience. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in identifying market drivers while showing a high degree of interest in learning about other products in order to develop cross-product skill sets. The ideal candidatewill have strong intellectual curiosity, a high degree of organization and attention to detail,ability to multi-task andbe able to perform well under high pressure situations with the appropriate degree of urgency.
