We seek applications for the post of Sales & Marketing Director – Decorative. This position will be responsible to manage the sales activities within the decorative segment across India and manage the marketing function for Jotun India. The Decorative business in India offers lots of growth potential and Jotun India is well positioned to tap into this large and fast-growing market.
This position is based in Mumbai and reports to the Managing Director and the job will include
Lead, manage and further develop the total Decorative business operations in a given country by developing, communicating and follow-up the key sales growth strategies and action plans in order to achieve strategic goals and actively contribute to the performance and result of the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Participate and contribute actively in the Local Management Team by discussing, influencing, and deciding on company strategic direction in order to drive the segment in the right direction and achieve expected results.
Lead, develop and support staff by clearly advocating and communicating ambitions for personal, professional, and career development in line with The Penguin Spirit, to ensure sufficient resources and competence to realise the strategy.
Lead, manage and develop the organisation by effectively organising, delegating, and distributing areas of responsibility and authority, by using yPOD/KIT to ensure focus, attention and cost-effective business operations in line with strategic directions.
Monitor and follow up the business operations of Decorative segment operations by regular interaction with reporting managers and management teams in order to give adequate and efficient support.
Build and effectively lead a sales organisation through hiring, coaching, and retaining employees by providing skills and competence development programs to enhance and improve skill sets, management effectiveness and the efficiency of each salesperson.
Manage other functions, such as Marketing, TS, Specifications, CSD etc.
To maintain DSO by constant review and ensuring a strong mechanism for payment collection in order to ensure that it is within the acceptable norms.
Qualification
Bachelor and /or Master’s degree in Sales & Marketing is preferable.
Minimum 10+ yrs.’ of relevant experience in Sales & Marketing.
