Associate/Officer: Digital Engagement
(Full-time) (Location: New Delhi)
India is home to the world 3rd largest population suffering from HIV/AIDS with approximately over 2.1 million people suffering from this disease. Over the last decade a lot has been done by the government, NGO’s and many agencies due to which the disease has been controlled to some extent. However in the current years International funds for India’s National AIDS Control Programme have dried up severely, posing a serious threat of recurrence of new HIV cases. Due to current situations it has become even more important to focus on resource mobilization to reach fellow Indians and urge them to stand with the affected population.
End AIDS India is a campaign by Alliance India to create awareness and mobilise resources to fund HIV response programme in India to accelerate the response to the HIV epidemic in India. Founded in 1999, Alliance India is a non-governmental organisation operating in partnership with civil society, government and communities to support sustained responses to HIV in India that protect rights and improve health. Summary of Responsibilities:
The Associate/Officer: Digital Engagements will support fundraising by harnessing the power of online and technology and also to support/facilitate traditional fundraising streams for integrated solutions. S/he will be coordinating closely with all concerned departments in Alliance India for relevant online contents for fundraising promotion. The person will also keep abreast about the latest technologies/market trends in the digital space and make best use of technology and data for enhancing visibility and fundraising. Lead role to build, plan and implement digital outreach for End AIDS India.
§ Manage and oversee various digital channels and assets for End AIDS India
§ Plan and execute digital/technology based marketing/fundraising campaigns (Part of Idea to Implementation using existing and new digital assets/avenues) to acquire & retain donors.
§ Devise strategies and develop partnerships to drive online traffic to website and other online assets, through delivering online marketing and communications, including in-house e-mail campaigns & 3rd party, SEO optimisation (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc) while managing and establishing external communications agencies/aggregators/affiliates to support this.
§ Execute and initiate integrated campaigns (Social Media Lead Gen, SMS, Online, Telephone, IVRS) both Inbound and Outbound to generate direct and indirect (data creation for fundraising (FR) teams) revenues
§ Media Planning & Buying – Digital (FB Ads, Insta ADS, You Tube, OTT, Google Ads, etc)
§ Track, Measure and Report on key performance indicators. (SEO, Google Analytics, FB Pixel/Analytics, etc)
§ Content Creation – Design Compelling Digital Content (Posts, Blogs, ADS, PDF’s, etc) liaising with Alliance India departments and field partners
§ Transform content to ensure multiple usage in both print collaterals (Posters, Standees, Brochures, etc) and social media
§ Responsible for facilitating existing partners by providing Landing pages for Corporates, Channel Partners, etc. and ensure donor retention through value added services. Support/Explore new online income opportunities, portals (Give India, Give 2 Asia, Crowd funding Platforms) and manage the existing ones while deepening the relationships.
§ Provide information to senior management on market trends, competitions and new technologies & trends
§ Complement the activities of the other departments within the team and provide support wherever required.
§ Strictly follow the organisational work plan and individual activity plan and proactively contribute to the achievement of the strategic directions of the organisation; ensuring adherence to quality and timeliness of the deliverables.
§ Act as a spokesperson and ambassador overall for Alliance India and especially for the End AIDS India campaign, protecting and promoting its goodwill at all times with a view to enhance the visibility and to create a brand image for the organisation.
§ Uphold the mission/vision and values of Alliance India and to work within its equal opportunities framework, demonstrating the behaviours and competencies as appropriate for the position.
§ Key Brand Custodian for EAI (Guidelines, NOC’s, Pic Languages, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
§ Degree in Communications stream
§ Qualification in Digital marketing communication will be an added advantage
§ Should have 2 to 4 years of working experience in similar stream.
§ Hands on experience in marketing communication especially in Digital Communications related activities.
§ Excellent knowledge of English to enhance independent content and design abilities.
§ Copywriting, Designing and knowledge of Word press, Email Campaign Systems, Facebook, Youtube & Instagram, (Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Mac environments)
§ A good understanding of customer relationship management in order to increase supporter conversion, engagement and retention.
§ Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
§ Experience in developing and managing content, especially for social media and e-mail audiences. (knowledge of Word press, Canva, Adobe Suites, Email Campaign Systems, Facebook, Youtube & Instagram, etc)
§ Experience in website development and management
§ Editorial skills and experience supporting the production of publications (Indesign, PDF, etc)
§ Self-motivated and flexible and experienced to manage multi-tasking effectively with clear deadlines
§ Critical thinking capacity with high attention to details
§ Experience in SEO and Keyword Optimisations
§ Data and analytical skills
§ Strong commitment to team-working, collaboration, consensus building and negotiation
§ Strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
§ Prior experience working in fundraising operations or not for profits in digital communication sphere
§ Ability and willingness to undertake travel, primarily within India
§ Manageable writing and verbal communication skills in Hindi
§ Sensitive heart, empathetic humane & passionate to contribute to a healthier India

The position requires a strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and NGO activities in India, and a strong interest in and understanding the relevant issues.
