Role Overview: As an Accounts and Finance Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
Your proficiency in accounting software such as BUSY and Tally, along with your knowledge of accounting principles, will be essential in carrying out your duties effectively. Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping and Data Entry: Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, updating ledgers, and maintaining accurate financial records in BUSY and Tally software. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, verifying transactions, and ensuring timely payment.
Handle accounts receivable by generating customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding receivables. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory accounting, including the recording of purchase orders, receipt of goods, and inventory valuation. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a periodic basis.
Generate financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making. Tax Compliance: Assist in tax preparation and compliance activities, including the filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings. Ensure adherence to tax regulations and deadlines.
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, gathering supporting documents, and responding to auditor inquiries. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary. Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and forecasting activities, including variance analysis, budgeting, and cost analysis.
Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in a small-scale industry setting.
Proficiency in accounting software such as BUSY and Tally, with the ability to navigate and utilize various modules effectively. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards. Familiarity with sale purchase challan, debit and credit notes entries, reconciliation, and other accounting processes.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
