Primary Role:
Reporting to Sr. Manager Finance, Assistant Manager- Finance will be responsible for providing support to Sr. Manager Finance in terms of payments, reconciliation, transaction support, reporting, ensuring compliance to all legal & statutory requirements and provide support for all statutory and other internal/external audits

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain books of accounts on accrual basis in both QB & Tally software

• Checking of Bills, Vouchers, Travel Expense Reports & approval notes.

• Responsible for all cash & bank payments

• Ensure timely payments to vendor, staff & others. Assist staff on financial matters, where needed.

• Preparation of Bank Reconciliation statements on monthly basis.

• Co-ordinate with bankers for queries on financial transactions.

• Ensure timely deposit of all statutory dues like TDS, EPF, GST, etc.

• Ensure timely submission of monthly and quarterly returns of TDS, EPF and GST

• Provide support for all statutory and other internal/external audits.

• Provide support to Senior manager in finance and procurement matters

• Ensure management of debtors/ donor’s balance on proactive basis for both reporting and compliance of donor requirement.

• Assist Sr. Finance Manager in Monthly reconciliation of accounts and project accounts and fulfill other financial activities related to the project.

• Preparation of cash flow on monthly basis in consultation with Sr. Finance Manager.

• Ensure that financial and operational support is provided in accordance with approved guidelines and donor policies & regulations.

• Ensure Accounting Standards are followed in all financial matters.

• Ensure all the reconciliations (Bank, Advances, Accruals, etc.) are made on monthly basis and follow-up are done accordingly

• Updating Fixed Assets Register on quarterly basis.

• Any other task assigned by the reporting manager as & when required.

Education:
Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Accounts/Finance with working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.

Experience:
5-8 years in similar position in the development sector.

Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more accounting software’s (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks etc.)
• Good working knowledge of MS office, especially MS Excel and Word.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of internal staff Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and professional maturity to handle sensitive and confidential data and matters with discretion is a must.
• Must be self-directed and possess the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
