Deal origination skills Ability to spot companies looking for funds for generating proprietary deal flow. Support of associate/ analyst level team members will be available on need basis as per the requirement of the assignment. Strong networking for deal sourcing. Mature outlook, Strong people engagement, and persuasive skills to place the business/service offering idea with clients and close the deal. Deal evaluation skills Understanding of economic principles and economic cycles Knowledge of the competitive environment across various industries Understanding sustainable competitive advantage of potential investee companies Strong grip on financial analysis and ability to pick up window-dressed problems Ability to predict future upsides and potential downsides in the business Strong command over MS Excel to decipher or build financial models. Understanding of valuations – knowledge of what attracts a premium pricing or discount pricing in markets Experience of reading promoter psychology Good listening skills Understanding of legal and regulatory issues including Companies Act, SEBI Rules, Income Tax provisions and contracts act and exposure to litigation / arbitration
