HashiCorp has its Finance Centre of Excellence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India to help HashiCorp’s USA Headquarter and 15+ other countries where we have our legal entities. From India, we are supporting multiple processes that include GL Accounting, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Revenue Accounting, Internal Controls, Payroll, Taxation, Travel Administration, FP&A, Reporting, etc. (Note: This position is onsite for Hashicorp Noida office )

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Accountant (for US Payroll support) in its Shared Service Center/ Center of Excellence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, to support our growing Finance and Accounting organization, with employees in many different States and expanding to different countries. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has an excellent core knowledge of US payroll in multiple States, and is looking to grow and expand their role in Payroll.

In this role you can expect to:

• Perform daily payroll tasks including payroll processing through ADP WorkforceNow
• Process manual checks
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of payroll transactions
• Prepare month end close journal entries, reconcile balance sheet, and income statement accounts
• Analyzes payroll expenses
• Reconcile general ledger to statutory reports
• Audit payroll data for accuracy and completeness
• Respond to employees and internal teams when there are payroll inquiries, including and not limited to LoAs, 401k issues, garnishments, employment verifications, pay details, vacation accruals, ESPP and tax withholdings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business related concentration
• Very high attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of US Federal and State payroll withholdings
• Intermediate accounting knowledge
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
• Able to respond to payroll inquiries with professionalism, kindness and empathy.
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 5+ years of processing US payroll
• 5+ years of accounting experience

• Strong Experience in ADP Workforce REQUIRED

• Workday Experience REQUIRED
