As a Reconciliation Analyst, you’ll be working to ensure the delivery, timeliness and accuracy of our clients’ daily investment portfolio information, including accounting, analytic, and compliance reports. This involves validation of our clients’ holdings and transactions using data from Custodians, Brokers, Asset Managers, third party data providers, and more. You will be expected to collaborate with teams across the company to increase automation by finding and implementing solutions when deficiencies are identified. To effectively fill this role, we challenge our team members to improve the reconciliation process by increasing automation, improving report delivery timeliness, and ensuring accuracy of these reports with an unwavering commitment to client success.
Responsibilities
Reconcile investment transactions and holdings of investment portfolios using a state-of-the-art web-based system
Ensure timely delivery of accurate investment information, including accounting, analytic, and compliance reports
Manage internal and external inquiries & requests (main contacts include Treasurers & upper-level Accounting Managers)
Create and maintain valuable relationships with data providers, clients, and account managers to ensure accuracy of reconciliation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Sciences, or other related field.
Knowledge of GAAP or STAT accounting procedures
Thorough understanding of fixed income investments
2+ years of directly applicable experience (reconciliation, accounting, or finance)
Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel (VLookUp, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, VBA, etc.)
Ability to read and write SQL (Structured Query Language)
Rapid problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
