Duties and Responsibilities
Content Creation 45%
Leads the creation, development and production of communications and marketing materials of a basic to
moderately complex nature as part supporting the growth of the firm’s marketing campaigns, brand
management, internal programs and/or employee communications in coordination with the project
management team. Develops creative briefs, writes copy, works with designers, and obtains necessary
approvals before publishing materials. Develops content with the style and editorial guidelines appropriate
for the channel and coordinates development of related graphics for these program materials.
Content Promotion
Under direction of campaign managers or corporate managers, pushes and publicizes content across
appropriate channels, including email, website, social media, press distribution, events, intranet site and
advertising. Responsible for building and managing the campaigns in the applicable technologies.
Managing Proposal Database
Manages campaign data including text, images, and digital materials in proposal database according to
campaign or communication platform.
Research
Conducts research (Ex: market research, best practices, etc.) to assist in the development of
communications materials.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Stream.
3+ years of related experience.
Intermediate knowledge of all communications platforms.
Intermediate ability to research technical information from background sources, conduct interviews, and synthesize the data into communication materials.
Intermediate ability to provide or construct marketing materials with appropriate style, grammar, and proper English syntax.
Intermediate ability to work collaboratively as a member of a communications team in preparing print materials, audio-visual presentations, and web-based communications.
Good interpersonal skills.
Advanced written and oral communications skills..
Advanced ability in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as digital channel platforms.
Adobe Illustrator would be a nice to have.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information
CDM Smith reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
