Hybrid Working

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. Introduction:
To ensure the successful delivery of end-to-end investment related change projects the Senior Business Analyst will:
. Partner with the PB&WM business teams to understand the process and/or application changes required to support business strategy. They will play a crucial role in projects implementing the end-to-end journey (from requirement definition, through to the test management and business adoption) within a complex technology stack based on Avaloq, Charles River and other investment related platforms. This will include defining relevant elements of the Operating Model and designing strong controls and auditing across our workflows.
. Be accountable for defining Business Outcomes and the scope of these on a project by project basis, adjusting to suit jurisdictional requirements, client impact, compliance, controls and quality.
. Be responsible for the scoping, prioritisation and detailed business requirements on behalf of the project while understanding the impact on the wider business environment.
. Establish strong relationships across technology and business areas. Be a highly disciplined analyst and organiser who is adept at delivering at pace within an agile delivery team, maintaining flexibility whilst maintaining high rigour at delivering to Barclays standards, processes and strategies.
An ability to focus on the detail but also to understand and shape the strategic direction will be the key to success.
What will you be doing
. Contribute to the delivery of regulatory change objectives of PB&WM Processing Transaction Cycle through the provision of business analysis to portfolio of projects.
. Drive Business Analysis as a clear set of deliverables that are aligned to Business Outcomes, project objectives and business strategy.
. Facilitate requirement identification, capture and prioritisation, balancing the need for flexibility with the need for certainty ensuring that changes are delivered in a safe and controlled way.
. Identify and engage with dependencies and interfaces between projects and programme work streams and identification of risks and issues affecting delivery.
. Work with Product Owners across Investments, Compliance, Legal and other functional groups to keep appraised of the project, seeking informal feedback and formal approvals.
. Support the Programme Manager and Head of PB&WM Technology to provide the necessary updates to senior management and senior stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
. Degree or equivalent level qualification
. Experience in a Business Analyst role with strong evidence of business change delivery, including changes to technology and applications. This will include experience of implementing change on banking platforms, including Investment platforms, or on other financial services related process and application change.
. Specific experience in delivering regulatory change within the Financial Services sector e.g. CASS, MiFiD, FATCA, CRS etc
. Demonstrate a strong understanding of investment products, including asset types traded within the Wealth and Fund management market place.
. A strong command of business analysis techniques – including requirements gathering and documentation, business outcomes, user stories, functional design, process flows, data analysis, logical database design.
. Experience in data analysis e.g. defining/understanding data requirements, analysis of data quality, identify and investigate data issues, determine impact on regulatory reporting, managing delivery of solution to DQ issues.
. Experience working with data analysis tools e.g. MS Excel and SQL based tools
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Experience in Financial Services, in any of Credit & Lending, Banking, or Investments
. Exposure to the financial services regulatory environment and impact from new and changing policy on process and technologies.
. A strong command of business analysis methodologies – including the application of industry-standard methodologies including Agile and other software delivery lifecycle.
. The successful candidate must be able to articulate complex topics in a clear and understandable fashion to both technology and business stakeholders.
. Demonstrate a strong understanding of investment products, including asset types traded within the Wealth and Fund Management market place.
