Job Description
:
Information Security Strategy Creation
Implementation and tracking of BAGIC’s information security policies, standards and procedures by working with key stakeholders to ensure the policies support compliance with external requirements (IRDA, IT Act etc)
Develop periodic information risk assessment programs targeting information security and privacy matters to ensure that all risks are captured
Plan and Implement tracking mechanisms and present security scorecard to senior management on a periodic basis
Drive projects related to implementation of security related initiatives both and the infrastructure and application side
Drive Vulnerability assessment testing across Infrastructure and applications and track timely closure
Drive security audits and compliance related initiatives across the organization
New Project Support
Identify appropriate vendor solution on new security projects
On-board the vendor and explain the project requirements to the vendor
Define the roles and responsibilities respective to the security project
Communicate to management and respective stakeholders throughout the project life cycle
Co-ordinate with IT, and other respective business functions to ensure execution of project within pre-decided timeline
Review and approve the testing results time to time
Security Project Management Support
Identify critical Security projects and conduct pre-project feasibility for projects in the pipeline in coordination with concerned parties (including technology managers) to support in improving security posture
Conduct research on security solutions, vendor partners to liaison with, competitive and market landscape to support IT Security Operations
Interact with vendors and internal stakeholders to discuss new security solutions and innovative features that can be added to strengthen IT Security
Objective would be to strength the security process and technologies connecting users and data.
Relationship building
Interact with vendors / partners and enable to get support services or information when required
Interact with respective IT team, functions/departments in the company to understand the requirements, seek data and provide support in execution of projects
Objective would be to achieve cost savings through external vendor and deliver the project by both internal and external parties.
Project Risk Management
Develop project parameters and liaison with all concerned internal and external stakeholders to understand the business requirements and enable realistic project planning
Define timelines for completion of projects undertaken in alignment with the organizational strategy, evaluate the progress and status against timelines and develop action plans in case of deviations
Highlight issues/ challenges/ deviations to function/ department heads for corrective actions and manage project delivery efficiently to ensure timely delivery of projects
Provide regular updates on the status of existing projects and overview of improvement opportunities/ projects to be undertaken in future to the superior
Assure that project delay or derail possibilities are assessed before and during the project
Address stake holder issue by arbitration understanding the complaints from external and internal parties

Education/Qualification
:
Graduate/Post Graduate in Computer Science or equivalent Strong program management background (Certification Preferable), strong experience in managing IT audits and implementing controls to proactively prevent audit observations
Desirable Skills
:
Sound business understanding Ability to Translate/articulate Tech language to simple language o Provide solutions for security problems o Define strategy for building and implementing Infrastructure security solutions
