Manager – US Prop Lending Product and Customer-treatment Analytics, Lending Economics- Global Lending & Cobrand

Global Lending and Co-brand, a business unit within the Global Consumer Services Group at American Express, is responsible for accelerating growth in our lending and co-brand portfolios to meet our customers’ evolving buying and payment needs while diversifying revenue streams and driving top line growth. It leads company’s efforts to handle our relationships with co-brand partners and expand our suite of consumer lending products bringing deep expertise to deliver products, services, and strategies that will improve our competitive position in each of our markets globally.
The Global Lending and Co-brand organization is currently hiring for Manager of US Prop Lending Product and Customer treatment Analytics within the lending economics team who will lead the development of data led insights and integration of product economics across the customer lifecycle to drive incremental value through increased revenue and cost efficiencies. The U.S. Lending Analytics team is at the core of producing outstanding statistical methodologies and techniques to better understand customer level economics and behavioral trends. This critical role is responsible for partnering with product, marketing, and credit risk teams to ensure these insights are applied to business strategies to improve shareholder and customer value. This role represents a unique opportunity to leverage applied quantitative experience to directly shape business strategy and requires outstanding relationship management skills to partner with multiple stakeholders to get results.
Responsibilities:
Utilize advanced analytics of customer and financial data to improve portfolio economics, e.g., increase engagement, reduce attrition, inform product value proposition.
Inform product value proposition to attract high quality prospect and expand CM membership.
Inform customer treatment strategies to increase customer engagement and drive top of wallet behavior
Evaluate and test marketing strategies and product construct configurations to increase spend and lend engagement across customer treatments like products transfer, Mycreditguide, CLP, Supp and loans
Identify and build behavior and financial based portfolio segmentation; develop segment-based treatment strategies in partnership with other groups, e.g., Marketing and Risk.
Lead test design, measure results, continuously apply learnings.
Partner heavily with other functional teams understand products, processes, and competitive environment to develop insights to help grow the business.
Qualifications – External
At least 4+ years of experience driving performance optimization through the application of advanced decision sciences.
A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of driving innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset
Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable with unstructured problems
Proven ability of leading strategic initiatives and consistently delivering strong results
Strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate, influence, and work effectively across multiple cross-functional partners
Solid interpersonal communication with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues at all levels
Relevant statistical analysis/econometric experience required and able to effectively translate analytical findings to business implications.
Post-Graduation from a top tier college (either MBA/M tech/MS/master’s in quantitative subjects such as Economics, Statistics or Mathematics)
