As part of Amazon India fresh supply chain analytics team we are seeking for Business Analyst who will have opportunities to work and solve complex business problems along with some of best business leaders. This role provides opportunities to influence high impact / high visibility projects within the organization. To perform your daily tasks, one requires high attention to details, proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously. This is a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is expected, a superior and crisp verbal/written communication is primary skill and ambiguity is a norm. This role requires superior analytical skill set, able to quickly address problems and apply analytical expertise to rapidly solution and deliver. The whole cycle would involve interaction with many teams. Successful candidates must thrive in fast-paced environments which encourage collaborative and creative problem solving, be able to measure and estimate risks, constructively critique peer research, extract and manipulate data across various data marts.
About the team
CST Analytics is responsible for providing analytics and product support to Amazon India fresh supply chain and operations teams. The scope of this team includes managing weekly/monthly review decks, formulating new metrics, provide visibility to operations on the daily performance through automated reports and dashboards, building optimization tools, building features in existing solutions and achieving parity with other geographies in terms of supply chain tools and features. This is done through our strong team of BIEs/BAs/Product managers and by liaising with local and global technology teams to get things done through influence and/or with their support. Our roadmap includes long term projects that have quarterly deadlines and sprint projects that are executed in biweekly sprints.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor degree in Maths/Statistics/Analytics/Engineering or other equivalent quantitative discipline
. 1 to 3 years of experience as Business Analyst dealing with large complex data
. knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, joining multiple tables, and using aggregate analytical functions.
. Knowledge of data pipelining and extraction using SQL.
. Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills
. Experience in working with at least one data visualization/BI tool (like Tableau, QlickView, OBIEE etc.) with understanding of BI technologies and their application including database warehousing and dashboarding.
. Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
. Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel
Preferred Qualifications :
. Master’s degree in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain, or another quantitative field preferred. Bachelor’s degree or experience in computer science or another technical field is highly desired.
. knowledge of supply chain planning/execution concepts and processes
. Experience in communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from computer science, operations research, and business backgrounds.
. A Strong individual contributor who can work with minimal direction and oversight
. knowledge in business statistics. Should be able to understand what statistical analysis to apply and comprehend the statistical test results to make decisions. Experience with regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, dynamic pricing, demand modeling, game theory and customer/product segmentation
. Experience with e-commerce, retail or marketing analytics would be an advantage.
. Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tool
