Tax Analyst/Advanced Tax Analyst – The primary role of a Tax Analyst is to analyse information to prepare accurate tax returns and develop a collaborative relationship with EY colleagues.

Your key responsibilities

• As a Tax Analyst / Advanced Tax Analyst in GDS Indirect Tax, you will be focused on preparation of projects/services in the domain of Indirect Tax/VAT. Your main responsibilities as a Tax/Advanced Tax Analyst are:
• Prepare indirect tax returns and file (where applicable) these returns via the country specific filing tool
• Demonstrate an understating of basic tax concepts. Proactively expand tax knowledge through client assignments and stay current with tax developments
• Deliver high quality and timely work
• Develop client service and engagement-skills
• Assist seniors and Managers on special projects, as required
• Assist on development and implementation of tax technologies and automation of tax compliance
• Multi – Task on various projects within the tax segment and be cross trained
• Propose improvement possibilities to raise effectiveness and efficiency of the work processes
• Comply with Ernst & Young compliance procedure
• Help create a supportive teaming environment

Skills and attributes for success

• Demonstrate effective written and oral communications skills in business English
• Good knowledge of accounting and tax concepts
• Dynamic, innovative & problem resolution focus
• Demonstrate good computer knowledge – in MS Excel and a basic knowledge of other MS Office, Web-based applications
• Basic knowledge about functioning/usage of ERP-systems
• Individual showing great interest in working with multi-country clients
• Individual being capable of working Independently
• Team player – driving the team towards progression
• Ability to meet tight deadlines

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Graduate/Post-graduate preferably in Commerce
• A minimum 1 – 3 years of experience, preferably in an Accounting/Tax environment

Ideally, you’ll also have

• B.Com/BBA/M.Com/MBA
